1864: Born in a boat on the Brahmaputra river,
near the village of Ahataguri in Assam while his father Dinanath Bezbaroa, who
was a judicial officer in Assam Government Service, was going down the
Brahmaputra on a transfer order from Nowgong to Barpeta.
1886: Passed Entrance Examination (University of
Calcutta) from Sivasagar Government High School.
1888: Passed First Arts Examination (FA Exam)
from City College, Calcutta. The Asamiya Bhashar Unnati Sadhini Sabha was
founded in Calcutta with Chandrakumar Agarwala and Hemchandra Goswami, with the
monthly journal, Jonaki.
1890: Passed Bachelor of Arts Examination from
General Assembly's Institution.
1891, March 11: Married Prajnasundari Devi. Four
daughters were born, Surabhi (born June 1895, and died when she was five),
Aruna (married to Satyavrata Mookherjee), Ratna (Married to Rohinikanta Barooa)
and Dipika (became a Christian nun).
1899: Took up timber trade with Bholanath
Barooah.
1910-1935: Brought out the 'Banhi' under his own
editorship.
1916: Presided over the Assam Students'
Conference at Gauhati.
1924: Presided over the Assam Literary
Conference at Gauhati.
1931, December 29: 'Rasaraj' title to
Lakshminath Bezbaroa by Asam Sahitya Sabha (1931, Sivasagar session). In the
felicitation letter by Asam Sahitya Sabha , the word 'Sahityarathi' was used
for the first time for Bezbaroa.
1933: Delivered a speech on 'Vaishnavism in
Assam' in Baroda at the invitation of the Maharaja Gaekwad Sir Sayaji Rao.
1937, August: Returned to Assam.
1938, March 26: Passed away at Dibrugarh, Assam
